May you find peace
     and quiet rest
in this time of reflection on life
as memories of one you love comfort you

================

Our thoughts and prayers
are with you
May you draw comfort
from the time you enjoyed together
the laughter
the success
the joy

May you find the strength
to celebrate the successes of (Name's)_______________ life
the end of suffering
and the hope of heaven

================

So many accomplishments
So very many successes
A wealth of hopes and dreams fulfilled
Days and days and days well-lived
     and now a legacy to celebrate
May sweet memories encourage you at this time

================

The way was dark through the valleys
the hills loomed too high to climb
yet the light at the end of the chasm
beckoned the weary one on.

At last the trail on this earth
reached the cleft deep in the rock ---
one last footstep in shadow ---
a hand reaching through from the light ---
the traveller grasped it tightly,
and gently slipped from sight.

Arm in arm they ascended together,
the steps on the other side,
to the crowd of familiar faces,
to welcoming kisses and hugs,
to meadows of flowers and birdsong,
resplendent in heavenly dawn.
